abstract

many of the so-called organizational strategies on which companies are dependent, are not endurable. these strategies may not be well structured and cannot stand the test of time. thus, making the right decision is extremely important for strategic planning. the proposed strategy formulation framework in this paper (fuzzy bsq) is a powerful management tool in strategic planning that integrates three widely used business management strategic tools (balanced scorecard, swot analysis and quality function deployment) and makes use of porter's competitive forces with fuzzy screening approach for strategy development. there are two stages of development within the meth-odology of proposed framework. the first part is to conjoin the swot analysis with the balanced scorecard (bsc) indentifying the four critical successful perspectives. the second part is to analyze porter's competitive forces and strategies with attributes of balanced scorecard for competitive strategy development using quality function deployment (qfd) methodology with fuzzy screening approach that is one of multi expert – multi criteria decision making techniques. thus, the presented methodology in this article prioritizes and extracts more significant strategies. finally, by explaining a case study of proposed strategy formulation framework application at x sugar company, we consider above-mentioned concepts deeply.

A Novel Hybrid Approach to Analyze Cost of Quality: Balanced Scorecard and Fuzzy Logic

In this paper, a new methodology in the area of cost of quality (COQ) is proposed to determine the optimal investment allocation to all costs. The goal is to minimize costs involved in achieving a required level of quality. The contribution of this paper is fourfold: (I) considering two types of weights for each part of COQ, in which the first type is determined by the cost volume and the secon...

To overcome these limitations, in this paper we propose a semantic fuzzy expe...

Using Linear Physical Programming in Optimizing Fuzzy Quality Function Deployment

Quality function deployment (QFD) is a customer-driven quality management and product development system for achieving higher customer satisfaction. It is necessary to determine relationships between customer requirements (CRs) and technical requirements (TRs), as well as correlation among the TRs themselves. Such data are usually ambiguous and fuzzy and people have different judgments about th...
